Jesus said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me. “ John 14:6
“Narrow [is] the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:14
“”Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber.” “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.” John 10:1,7
Today, it is becoming increasingly unpopular to maintain that Jesus is the Only way to God the Father and eternal life. Persons who maintain this, are being increasingly viewed as arrogant, bigots, enemies of the public good, and hate-mongers. The message of Jesus Christ, is being touted as love and acceptance for all (right like they are, and irregardless of belief and practice). We should not be surprised about this, as Jesus himself told us to “not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you.” John 3:13
It is my hope by this blog to examine some of the common objectives and thought processes that seek to undermine the exclusive nature of Jesus’ message, as well as to explain why Christians who seem so narrow and exclusive are not necessarily arrogant and hateful.
